Mission: I’m plausible..
Another learning from Chicago was to keep a notebook dedicated to self-improvement and maintaining health
Bizarre as it sounded then, obvious as it seems now, the idea was to create a virtual identical twin, one that had my interests as its focus
To make it ‘real’ required a name, MJ. It’s MJ’s role to provide advice and tell me home truths about what I should, and shouldn’t do in situations, with problems, and in life
The thing is, I tend to give myself decent advice. Maybe that’s not so surprising, as I know myself best..
It’s a simple thought process, designed to standardise considered decisions, rather than default to impulse, or emotion and, for me at least, it works
That’s just the start. New, powerful algorithms are raising the enticing possibility of digital twins
Very soon it’ll be possible to create a dynamic, electronic, biological representation of me. Then, when any medical treatment is being considered for me, it can be run through the algorithm first to see how it may work on my digital twin
No need for a sick me to visit a doctor, it’ll be diagnosed electronically. Maybe the NHS model can switch from sick-care to healthcare.?
I’ll likely have a real-time display which monitors every aspect of my health, and provides me with convenient and regular calls to action in order to make the right choices around diet, exercise and stress management
Could help anyone deal with the ‘Diseases of Modernity’..
